Enhance Your Smile
If you’ve ever wanted to improve your smile cosmetic dentistry can greatly enhance your professional and personal image. It involves all aspects of general dentistry with special attention paid to the overall look of your face, smile and individual teeth. Dark, discolored and worn teeth make you look older.
Chipped teeth or gaps between teeth are easily noticed by others and you may feel self conscious. Also, teeth that are crooked or rotated may stop you from smiling. The amount of treatment needed to give you the smile you desire varies from person to person, from the simple and straightforward to very complex
The good news is that almost every person can improve their smile and appearance. Ask Drs. Fischer and Samani what might be possible for you.
Teeth Whitening
Teeth whitening is the easiest and least expensive way to improve your smile. It is simple, safe, effective and often enough to satisfy your cosmetic needs. The only caveat is that 3-5% of the population does not respond well to the whitening products. We offer premium products that will give your smile that extra boost.
Snap-On-Smile
This is another affordable procedure that provides cosmetic enhancement of your overall appearance and smile. It is basically a removable tooth colored appliance that is fabricated using no or very little tooth shaping. Snap-on-Smile is designed to be an interim, not permanent, treatment and can last from 1-3 years
Oral Surgery/Tooth Extractions
Not all teeth can be saved. Severe tooth decay or advanced gum disease are common causes of tooth loss. Elective removal of wisdom teeth or extractions for orthodontic treatment is routine as well. Extractions can range from simple to very difficult. Removal of one or more teeth may result in subsequent shifting of adjacent teeth and unwanted gaps and changes in your bite. Drs. Fischer and Samani can explain potential problems to you as well as recommend treatment that may prevent them.
Tooth extractions that are deemed too difficult will be referred to an oral surgeon.
Night Guards
Bruxism, commonly known as teeth grinding is a common malady in today’s stressful world. The simple fact is our teeth were never meant to be in prolonged contact with each other. Bruxism is very destructive to the teeth and can cause complete loss of enamel on the chewing surface as well as worn down and shortened front teeth. Not only is this disfiguring but may also result in headaches (including migraines), jaw pain, earaches, neck pain, and sensitive teeth. If you are experiencing frequent nightly teeth grinding a night guard will provide protection against unnecessary wear and often alleviates any jaw pain and/or headaches. We make molds of your teeth and fabricate an acrylic bite plate that fits your upper teeth. It is adjusted to your bite and usually lasts up to 3 years.
